Quarterback Brandon Allen tossed two touchdowns, but completed just 17 of 32 pass attempts for 176 yards and was intercepted in the second half, which set up an Alabama field goal that put the lead out of reach.
Arkansas is now 2-4 overall and 1-2 in SEC play heading into a bye week. With a struggling Auburn team up next and UT-Martin the following week, the Razorbacks have a chance to build some momentum for the second half of the season in hopes of salvaging a bowl game.

Arkansas took a major step in the right direction a week ago with a 24-20 victory over Tennessee in Knoxville, and the Razorbacks played very well in the first half against Alabama Saturday but couldn’t hold on to a 7-3 halftime lead and lost 27-14.
The Razorbacks played well defensively early, especially with two first half interceptions – the second of which set up the first touchdown of the game – but couldn’t get going on offense. Arkansas had just 44 rushing yards on 25 carries (1.8 yards per attempt), and junior running back Alex Collins gained just 26 yards on 12 attempts. Collins, who came in with 656 rushing yards and six touchdowns, had run for at least 150 yards and a TD in three straight games before being completely bottled up by the Crimson Tide.
