Chris Petersen – Washington Huskies
Chris Petersen is the guy Haden should have hired two years instead of Sarkisian. He had an impeccable resume at Boise State with a 92-12 record and five finishes in the AP top 11. He didn’t get the job because Haden thought he lacked the necessary flash and flair to coach in Los Angeles. Big mistake. Huge.
Petersen is in his second year at Washington, but USC fans shouldn’t be leery of hiring another coach from the same place where they plucked Sarkisian. This is one of the best coaches in the game today and his 103-20 career record is reflective of that. Petersen may have moved on from Haden’s debacle and is comfortable in Seattle, but you have to throw piles of cash at him and make him say no.
