No. 11 Florida State Seminoles

First game they will lose: at Clemson Tigers, Nov. 7

Florida State is still Florida State. They pound the ball, they are aggressive and fast on defense and they find ways to win.

Clemson is better.

There’s a feeling in Clemson, S.C. that this is the year, and with the team the Tigers have put together and the way they’ve been dismissing opponents, that feeling is completely justified.

The Seminoles have struggled in their first three ACC wins over Boston College, Wake Forest and Miami. None of those three teams (all with some good points) are anywhere near the caliber of Clemson. Both teams play exceptional defense, and are all but evenly-matched on offense. Quarterback play will be the difference.

Deshaun Watson is precisely the kind of quarterback that can drive Jimbo Fisher’s defense crazy, and Clemson’s running game will help keep the Seminoles’ excellent secondary honest. This will be a big game, and so far in his career we’ve yet to see FSU quarterback Everett Golson step up when it counts most.
