No. 9 Texas A&M Aggies

First game they will lose: at LSU Tigers, Nov. 28

The Aggies were written off for dead after last season, but John Chavis has turned what was a swiss cheese defense into a brick wall. The offense, like last season is clicking well, and TAMU is a serious contender in the SEC West.

They’ll overcome the hurdle of Alabama, and everyone in College Station will start the talk of SEC titles and playoffs, but when they meet LSU in the season finale it will be two undefeated teams playing for a chance to go to Atlanta, and likely to the College Football Playoff.

LSU will be too much for the Aggies to overcome. The combination of playing in Tiger Stadium (in what is surely to be a night game…shudder) and the beast known as Leonard Fournette will bring the Aggies undefeated season to an end, and will send them to a probable New Year’s Six bowl rather than the SEC Championship game.
