This will be perhaps the least-watched Big Ten game of the day. Rutgers has several issues that go beyond the football field and Indiana has been decimated with injuries. Both teams are 0-2 in the conference and will be looking to turn things around.

Rutgers has dealt with suspensions to its head coach Kyle Flood as well as its best offensive player in wide receiver Leonte Carroo.

Carroo, who was suspended for an assault charge, had the charge against him dropped and was reinstated on the team last week. He made his return in the game against Michigan State and wasted no time getting back into the mix. His first two catches went for touchdowns and he finished with three in the game. The Knights played tough, but came up on the wrong end of a 31-24 loss to Michigan State.

Indiana began the season 4-0, but have now lost games to Ohio State and Penn State. The Hoosiers held a lead on the Buckeyes, but couldn’t hold it after starting quarterback Nate Sudfeld and talented running back Jordan Howard went out with injuries.

Both players were suited up last week against Penn State, but neither saw any game action, even when second-string quarterback Zander Diamont went out with an apparent head injury. There’s been no word on the status this week of any of the injured Hoosiers. There’s a possibility that Indiana will need to put its trust in its third-string quarterback, redshirt freshman Danny Cameron.

With all the question marks surrounding Indiana, I like Rutgers to win this game outright.
