This is a big game for USC, and could change their season for better or for worse. They could come out motivated, and stun Notre Dame at home, or they could fall flat on their face and have no motivation for this season, aside from their own personal stock.

Notre Dame hasn’t been very impressive since DeShone Kizer took over, but they have a defense that can cause havoc. Considering USC is coming off one of the worst offensive showings in perhaps this decade, that might not bode well for them.

They did get an extra two days of rest, playing last Thursday, so maybe that extra rest, and the extra time to sit on their loss, gives the advantage they need.

USC might be in some trouble right now, but something tells me that they will play this close. Notre Dame hasn’t allowed more than 27 points this season, and it will remain that way vs USC, but this game would be much closer than most people would think.
