It wasn’t all great – the Tigers allowed a few big plays, including three passes of 30 yards or longer, and also failed to force a turnover. Plus, LSU struggled on special teams by fumbling a punt that led to Florida’s first score and allowed a punt return for a touchdown. But the Tigers made big plays when they needed to – including a game-winning touchdown on a fake field goal – in order to stay undefeated and on top of the SEC West standings.
LSU doesn’t have an easy road to the College Football Playoff or the SEC Championship Game however. The Tigers host an explosive WKU squad next week, then must play Alabama, Arkansas, Ole Miss and Texas A&M in the month of November.

LSU Tigers 6-0 (4-0)
Last week: Beat Florida 35-28
Last rank: 2nd
After Texas A&M lost to Alabama and LSU beat Florida, there’s only one undefeated team in the SEC, which means the Tigers are the unquestioned No. 1 team in our weekly SEC Power Rankings.
Leonard Fournette was brilliant once again and pushed his nation-leading rushing totals to 1,202 yards and 14 touchdowns with a 180-yard, two-touchdown effort against the Gators. Fournette also got help from the Tigers’ passing game, particularly in the first half, which opened up running lanes later on. Quarterback Brandon Harris was an efficient 13-for-19 passing for 202 yards and two TDs – both to Malachi Dupre, who had 115 receiving yards on four catches. The LSU defense was stout as well, and held Florida to just 55 rushing yards on 31 carries (1.8 yards per attempt).
