Kentucky Wildcats 4-2 (2-2)

Last week: Lost to Auburn 30-27
Last rank: 9th

Kentucky may have been an underdog to Auburn Thursday night in Lexington, but UK had the perfect scenario to score a huge victory and take one more step toward a bowl game. In the game itself, the Wildcats had plenty of opportunities to beat the Tigers, but the defense surrendered 297 yards in the first half and fell behind 23-10, quarterback Patrick Towles tossed a costly interception in the end zone in the second quarter, which created a hole that was too much to overcome.

Towles threw for a season-high 359 yards on 27-for-44 passing in his second consecutive 300-yard performance, but was held out of the end zone. Kentucky receivers also dropped several passes, including what would have been a touchdown to Dorian Baker. After sitting out the previous game due to personal reasons, the Wildcats got 113 rushing yards and two touchdowns on only 16 carries from Boom Williams, but Williams also had a big drop in the fourth quarter.
