Does Michigan State’s miracle mean a rise to the top of this week’s Big Ten Power Rankings?

Could the Big Ten race actually be decided by a punter? A punter who didn’t even kick the ball? We’ve all seen the play. Now let’s see the results of Michigan’s blunder and Michigan State’s good fortune.

These Big Ten Power Rankings are based on results. Who did you beat? Who beat you? And how did you play? Did you compete or did you fold? While the best team should ultimately emerge, these rankings are based on resume to date. That formula has seen Michigan State reach the top to only slump and be replaced by rival Michigan.

Now that the Spartans have won the battle where it counts, has it reclaimed the No. 1 position or has the most talented team accomplished enough to finally reach the spot where most believe it belongs?

Or does that under the radar, overachieving team from the West deserve to stand above everyone else based on a league-high five Power 5 wins and three wins over teams with a combined 15-5 record?

Here are the Big Ten Power Rankings after Week 7.
