We’ll see what Rich Rodriguez can do with his talent for the rest of the season. He’s always been able to pull off an upset in Tucson, and Utah comes to Tucson in late November, making it a prime candidate.

Some might say Arizona simply struggled against Colorado, but I’m going to say that the performance is actually what you can expect from Arizona. They struggled heavily, against a team that has gone 2-7 in Pac-12 play since 2012. The recruiting is totally uneven and the talent level shouldn’t even be an issue for Arizona.

Arizona has been able to slide by, beating opponents they should beat, and then wait for the giants of the Pac-12 South to beat up on each other. This year it’s showing, and this is a team that might battle for seven wins at most. With Washington State, Washington, USC, Utah and Arizona State left on their remaining schedule, this team might not even win another game.
