This is a high-powered offense going up against a solid defense. Stanford has scored 31+ points in every win this season, and blew out UCLA last Thursday with a statement win.
Meanwhile Washington has allowed less than 17 points a game. But their offense is too much of a liability and has kept the Huskies from winning games this season. Their defense keeps them in the game, but the offense fails to convert on great field position, and it becomes little too late for the Huskies. In all three of their losses, they had the opportunity to go ahead on the final drive of the game, but never convert. If their offense was able to put up a few more points throughout the game, they wouldn’t be in that situation at the end of games.
Stanford is looking like one of the best teams in the country, and it doesn’t feel like this Washington defense can stop Stanford and Christian McCaffrey’s attack. Stanford hasn’t played superb defense like they have in the past, so Washington should be able to put up a few scores, but not nearly enough to keep up with Stanford.
