No. 6 Clemson Tigers at Miami Hurricanes
Point Spread: Clemson -3.5
The Clemson Tigers have their sights set on the College Football Playoffs this year and are off to a great start in 2015. Undefeated after their first six games, Dabo Swinney understands it becomes increasingly more difficult to remain at the top. Everyone will be gunning for the Tigers, especially in the ACC.
Miami, however, plays host at Sun Life Stadium with a huge opportunity in front of them. After back to back losses to Cincinnati and Florida State, the Hurricanes got back in the win column with a victory over Virginia Tech. Both Al Golden and sophomore Brad Kaaya are looking for that signature win this season. A win over the No. 6 Clemson would give them this plus momentum going into the latter half of the season.
Remember, this is still a young Clemson football team led by sophomore quarterback Deshaun Watson. With a match up against in conference rival Florida State looming, it’s imperative that the Tigers remain focused on Miami.
The emphasis will be on the defense for Clemson who have been a pleasant surprise this year as one of the best in the country. The defense will have their hands full in South Beach with a Miami offense plagued by penalties, but still dangerous in space. Right now, Clemson controls their own destiny.
