Doc Holliday – Head Coach, Marshall Thundering Herd
Other than having one of the coolest names possible for a football coach, Doc Holliday is also one heck of a motivator. A West Virginia graduate, Holliday was on staff with the Mountaineers for 20 years before moving on to other jobs. He landed his first head coaching position in 2010 with Marshall, where he’s been a big success.
Holliday played linebacker, but has spent a lot of time coaching on offense, particularly wide receivers. His teams always seem to score in bunches, and use multiple formations. His offensive ingenuity overcomes what Marshall lacks in recruiting talent.
This would be a solid hire, and someone who would almost assuredly run as impeccable a program as Richt. Fans would take a liking to him immediately.
