Despite the rain, quarterback Brandon Harris had the best passing game of his career. Harris completed 11 of 20 passes for 286 yards – which included three plays of 55 yards or longer – and tied his career-high with three touchdowns. The sophomore also kept great care of the football and helped the Tigers avoid a turnover for the fifth time this season.
Harris’ favorite target was Travin Dural, who had five receptions for 132 yards and a 17-yard touchdown catch. Dural was also on the receiving end of a 67-yard pass. Tyron Johnson and Malachi Dupre also posted TD grabs of 61 and 55 yards, respectively.
Heisman Trophy front-runner Leonard Fournette ran for 150 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries, which unbelievably was the least productive game of the season for the nation’s leading rusher. Fournette now has 1,352 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns in seven games. LSU allowed 428 total yards to an explosive WKU offense, but forced two turnovers and recorded a sack.
With the non-conference schedule complete, LSU has a bye week ahead of its Nov. 7 showdown with Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Weather played a major role in the 2015 LSU football season. Heavy storms forced the cancellation of the Tigers’ season opener against McNeese State, and flooding in Columbia, South Carolina forced a change in location for LSU’s Oct. 10 game with the Gamecocks, and the teams played in a half-full Tiger Stadium.
Saturday against WKU, storms pounded the Tigers and Hilltoppers, with LSU coming out on top with a 48-20 victory on Homecoming to retain the No. 1 spot in our SEC Power Rankings.
