Could number one possibly go to anyone else? Fournette is not only a physical runner, he looks to inflict pain on defenders. When the safest thing to do would be to run out of bounds, he looks for a defender and lowers his shoulder into them. With a little over a month to play, Fournette is a heavy favorite to win the Heisman Trophy. Fournette has played a large part in making the LSU Tigers a favorite to make the College Football Playoff.

What is even scarier than his play are his eye-popping stats. Through seven games, Fournette has rushed for 1532 yards and 15 touchdowns. He has already rushed for over 200 yards in three games.

Fournette has the ability to break tackles while also possessing the breakaway speed to make large runs. Fournette is well on his way to rushing for over 2,000 yards. Syracuse safety Rodney Williams spoke to ESPN about playing against Fournette.

“I bounced off him a couple of times. I felt like I wrapped up fairly well. … I thought I had tackled him, and I saw him running 20 more yards,” Williams said.

Don’t worry, Rodney. There is a whole line of SEC defenders that have experienced the same thing.

There you have it, folks. Leonard Fournette is the scariest of the scary. Don’t forget to tweet us your list of players. Happy Halloween!
