Season stats: 175 carries, 1060 rushing yards, 25 receptions, 310 receiving yards, 559 return yards
Last game vs Washington State: 22 carries, 112 yards, 26 receiving yards
The all-purpose yard machine was at it again vs Washington State, but definitely didn’t have nearly the game you would expect. I expected this game to be a shootout, with at least 40 points being scored from both sides, allowing McCaffrey to continue his 300-yard game mark. In a shootout with the Cougars, the Cardinal needed every last yard out of McCaffrey.
Although he didn’t reach the 300 yard mark this game, snapping his two game streak, his versatility is second to none in the nation.
He’s still leads the nation in all-purpose yards per game, ahead of Leonard Fournette, Dalvin Cook, Ezekiel Elliott, and DeVontae Booker, guys who have been sprinkled throughout this list all season long. I expect the Cardinal to run the table, and for McCaffrey to get a bid to NYC.
Next: Ezekiel Elliott
