Season stats: 167 carries, 1130 yards, 13 touchdowns
Last game: Bye
Ezekiel Elliott and the Buckeyes enjoyed their bye week after a blowout win vs Rutgers the week before. He busted out a few big time runs, including one from 55 yards out for the score. He has a nose for the end zone, as his 13 touchdowns are among the best in the nation for running backs.
What hurts Elliott in the Heisman race is that there are many talented players on offense surrounding him, taking away from his value because there’s just so many mouths to feed from J.T. Barrett, Michael Thomas, Braxton Miller, Jalin Marshall, etc.
With Michigan and Michigan State at the end of the season, that’ll be Elliott’s best chance to make a statement. He’s proven to be one of the most efficient runners in the nation, averaging nearly seven yards a carry and has topped 100 yards in every game this year.
