Houston’s entire team showed up in a big way against Vanderbilt. The SEC opponent didn’t score once and couldn’t find a way to make things happen on offense.

Vanderbilt had just 44 yards passing and tossed three total interceptions between its two quarterbacks. One of the interceptions was returned for a touchdown by William Jackson III. The Commodores managed to total 141 rushing yards, but did it by rushing 42 times.

Gregg Ward didn’t have an amazing day, but he was consistent and good enough to get the Cougar’s offense into the end zone three times. He also leads the nation in rushing touchdowns with 16. Kenneth Farrow did well, averaging over five yards per carry and totaled 82 yards and a touchdown.

Up next for the Cougars is Cincinnati.
