Point Spread: TCU – 4.5
First one to 50 wins.
Seriously, that’s the type of game I’m expecting to see from Stillwater this weekend. TCU is second in the nation with 48.9 points per game behind Heisman candidate and the nation’s best quarterback, Trevone Boykin and All-American candidate at receiver, Josh Doctson.
Oklahoma State is eighth in the nation with an average of 44 points per game and are coming off a 70-point outburst against Texas Tech last weekend. The Cowboys have a nice two-quarterback system working with Mason Rudolph handling all the throwing and J.W. Walsh coming in for running and red zone situations.
Rudolph has settled in nicely the last two weeks after a three-interception outing against West Virginia and has 590 yards and three touchdowns to only one interception since. Walsh has put up video game numbers with 235 yards and four touchdowns on nine of 10 passing and 104 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 14 carries. He’s been unstoppable and Mike Gundy has pushed all the right buttons.
I think the home crowd is just enough to pull off the first of what promises to be a number of Big 12 upsets as they head into their loaded back half of the schedule.
