12 Utah at Washington – Sat, Nov 7, 7:30 PM ET
Point Spread: WASH -1.5
First one to 17 wins.
In a game featuring the two best scoring defenses in the Pac-12, points will be at a premium when the Washington Huskies host the No. 12 Utah Utes. For the second time in three weeks, the Utes find themselves as the underdog despite playing an unranked opponent, but they’ll look to avoid the same fate that hit them when they lost to USC.
I don’t have a lot of faith in the Huskies offense that ranks 11th in scoring offense in the Pac-12 and I’m not going overboard with Jake Browning’s four-touchdown outing last week against an awful Arizona team. He took advantage of a down team and did what he was supposed to do but the defense he faces this week will be a wake-up call for the freshman signal-caller.
Look for the Utes to ride Devontae Booker on offense and make just enough plays on offense to sneak out the road win and improve to 8-1 and make a statement to the Playoff committee.
