NC State Wolfpack

All-Time Program Record: 563–543–55

NC State has become a giant-killer in the ACC, always seeming to find a way to upset a conference team fighting for a national title spot, but they never find themselves on the other end of that equation. Primary rivals Duke and North Carolina mean much more during basketball season.

They’re a respectable program, with seven ACC titles to their credit, and having played in 28 postseason bowl games, and they have a passionate fan base. However, this will never be a football school and they’ll never be able to recruit against other nearby programs in the ACC.

Sorry, Wolfpack fans, but this won’t happen for you. Keep your focus on the hardwood and the memory of the inspirational Jim Valvano.
