The Arkansas Razorbacks won perhaps the most incredible game of the 2015 SEC football season Saturday night in Oxford, 53-52 over Ole Miss in overtime. After a back-and-forth offensive shootout, the Razorbacks converted a two-point conversion in the first overtime period to pull off a huge upset in the SEC West.

But before quarterback Brandon Allen plunged in for the game-winning points, the Hogs were the beneficiaries of two crazy plays.

Trailing 52-45 and facing a 4th-and-25 situation from the 40-yard line, Arkansas quarterback Brandon Allen completed a pass to tight end Hunter Henry that was short of the first down marker. However, before Henry was taken to the ground he lateraled the football behind his head to keep the play alive.

Luckily, running back Alex Collins picked up the ball, picked up a few key blocks, and ran for the first down on a 31-yard gain.

Two plays later, Allen connected with Drew Morgan for a touchdown – his sixth of the game, which is a new school record. Opting to go for the win with a two-point conversion, Allen was sacked by Marquis Haynes. But, Haynes was called for a face mask penalty that set up Allen’s one-yard run, which won the game.

Allen, the most experienced quarterback in the SEC making his 30th career start, completed 33 of 45 passes for 442 yards. Drew Morgan led the Hogs with nine receptions for 122 yards and three touchdowns and Dominique Reed was close behind with 105 receiving yards and two TDs. Jared Cornelius recorded 76 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Collins ran for 108 yards on 17 carries, which pushed him past 1,000 yards for the third consecutive season. Kody Walker added 49 yards and a TD for the Razorbacks, who have scored at least 53 points in three straight games (including two SEC contests). Now 5-4 overall, Arkansas is now one win from bowl eligibility with a trip to Death Valley up next.
