Last game vs Navy: 26/42, 305 yards, 1 touchdown, 1 interception
With a loss from Navy, Paxton Lynch might just have to end his Heisman campaign, as it seems hard to believe that a one-loss, albeit a tough one-loss, AAC quarterback will be given Heisman consideration now.
Navy’s offense was just too much to handle, and it put a lot of pressure on the Tigers. Memphis went two quarters scoreless, and just couldn’t climb back. That triple option game is game is no joke.
Now, Paxton still has a lot to play for here this season. He could be a potential first round pick in the NFL draft, and his team still might get a shot at a New Year’s Six game. But in terms of his Heisman campaign, this one seems done here. He’ll have to be throwing for 500 yards and five touchdowns if he wants to continue
