Arizona led USC for a majority of the game, even with a banged up roster, on the road, on USC’s Homecoming night. Anu Solomon played his best game of the season, and the defense was getting consistent stops throughout the night.A quick 14-0 lead put the pressure on the Trojans, but one turnover, and a quick 73-yard bomb to a recovering Juju Smith-Schuster and it got things rolling for USC.
This is as competitive as Arizona played all season in the Pac-12, and it could give them some momentum heading into their final two games of the season, at home for Utah, and on the road for Arizona State. They only need one more win to hit bowl eligibility, so they’ll need a top-10 upset, or a victory against their rivals on the road to make that happen.
