Arizona State just keeps dropping games. They had to go on the road the Pullman to take on a the Cougars who are having themselves a great year, and they came up short.
The Sun Devils came out hot, going on top 14-0 early in the first quarter. They went for it on 4th down inside the five yard line of Washington State and got stuffed, and that’s when things started to turn south.
Washington State kicked it into gear and pulled away. Another controversial call from the Pac-12 officiating crew, but this one seemed to have less of an effect on the outcome, as Washington State seemed to already have this one in the bag.
Arizona State has three games remaining: Washington, Arizona, and California. All three very winnable games, but this Arizona State has proved to be inconsistent all season long. So it wouldn’t be surprising to see Todd Graham’s team finish with a losing record.
