Georgia at Auburn – Sat, Nov 14, 12:00 PM ET

Point Spread: AUB – 1.5

The season hasn’t gone as expected for either the Georgia Bulldogs or the Auburn Tigers but when the latest installment of the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry kicks of on Saturday one team will have won back-to-back games for the first time in a month.

Auburn is coming off a nice win against Texas A&M last week when the No. 14 defense in the SEC recorded three interceptions and Jovon Robinson ran wild for 159 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries in his breakout performance. Quarterback is a question mark after Sean White returned to practice on Wednesday after Jeremy Johnson started in his place last game. It’s possible both play against Georgia.

More from Saturday Blitz

Georgia is all too familiar with questions at quarterback this year where Greyson Lambert, Brice Ramsey and Faton Bauta haven’t been able to get anything going. But what gives Georgia a shot at pulling off the upset on The Plains is they found their ground game last week against Kentucky when they ran for a season-high 300 yards and two touchdowns on 52 carries.

Auburn is 11th in the SEC in rush defense (191.22), 12th in yards per carry allowed (4.78) and touchdowns allowed (19) so the Dawgs should be able to control the clock and put whoever is taking snaps at QB in favorable third downs all game.

Give me Georgia to take a 56-55-8 lead in the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry.
