Heisman Watch: Derrick Henry, Deshaun Watson and the top 10 candidates

Dalvin Cook is one of the most efficient and explosive running backs in the nation. He is now Florida State’s record holder for rushing yards in a single-season, breaking the old mark held by Warrick Dunn on Saturday. Notice all the other running backs on this list.
All of them have over 200 touches. Cook only has 170 attempts, yet still has almost 1,400 yards because he’s averaging more than eight yards per carry.
He’s been the most consistent running back all season long, when healthy but he’s been hampered by injuries with his hamstring and ankle, which cost him one game and parts of others, but he’s producing at an elite level. A few more top performances, and it might be time to recognize him as the best sophomore running back in the nation, which includes Leonard Fournette.
