Despite his lack of carries vs Charleston Southern, Derrick Henry found the end zone twice to extend his games with a TD to 16 and his 21 touchdowns on the year tied him with Trent Richardson for the single-season program record.. With nine carries, he averaged more than yards a carry, and made the most of his touches.

This was a big opportunity for him to pad his stats, but then again you don’t want him playing a lot in a game that doesn’t mean anything with Alabama just trying to get healthy and rested for the stretch run to win another national championship.

A lot of people want to point out his yards per carry, needing more carries than any other running back on this list to reach 1,500 yards, but he has a whole lot of value to this teams success, and his production hasn’t exactly faltered this season, unlike others on this list.

He’s been ultra dependable all season long and hasn’t been hampered by injuries, or opposing defenses, which is why I like his value so much.
