<p>Temple was able to recover and win against Memphis, increasing its chance of playing Navy or Houston in the AAC Championship Game. Thanks to WKU’s bye, Temple placed itself in contention for the number one spot.</p> <p>The defense came back to itself and kept the high scoring Tigers to just 12 points. Memphis QB Paxton Lynch had just 156 yards and actually helped Memphis remain turnover-free. Temple had two turnovers but out gained Memphis 461 to 232, one yard shy of doubling their production total.</p> <p>Temple faces an improved Connecticut team this week who is riding high after just knocking off a previously undefeated Houston team and Bob Diaco’s defense is one of the best in the nation.
