Arizona could have made a big time jump in the power rankings if they pulled off the comeback vs Arizona State this past weekend. They were running with their third-string quarterback, and boy did he impress. The defense has been suspect, but since their game vs USC, it’s steadily improved, despite the injuries.
Arizona is done for the season, finishing at 6-6. They had no bye weeks, which didn’t help their case with their injury plagued season. So Arizona comes in at No. 9, and I don’t see them moving down, simply because neither Colorado nor Oregon State seem likely to win this weekend. I’ll give Washington a chance, but even then, it’s looking slim.
