Two weeks removed from being stunned on the last drive of the game by Nebraska, the Spartans are back in the hunt after downing the Ohio State Buckeyes in their own house, without Connor Cook.

After that, you’d think that Michigan State deserves to be ahead of Ohio State, right? Their resume and all proves it; a win vs Oregon, at Michigan and then at Ohio State. That’s a pretty convincing slate, and then throw in a potential match up with Iowa in the Big 10 Championship Game, and the Spartans definitely deserve a bid for the playoffs.

But to me, Michigan State has been super inconsistent, and that might be because of all of their injuries at quarterback and on the offensive line, which makes me hesitant to put them any higher. But they meet all the criteria as listed in the first slide, and they have a darn great resume thus far.
