Texas Longhorns
Yes, we all know that Charlie Strong has assured his team that he’s not going anywhere and that he’s committed to making the Longhorns a winner again. We’ve also heard from both sides when it comes to the school – some say he’s going, others say no.

Either way, if Charlie Strong is fired, leaves for Miami or is abducted by aliens, the Longhorns’ first choice is going to be Nick Saban.
Not happening. Sorry.
So that means that once again Texas will be settling for a guy who is their second (or lower) choice. Bringing Les Miles in would be a way to at least make a splash with the donors and fans, and would probably guarantee more than the 4 wins Texas will likely end with in 2015.
This would be an interesting fit, and could probably work. Miles’ system and temperament would work well in Austin, and he’d have some fertile recruiting ground to bring in players who can do what he wants.
Of course, all of this hinges on Strong being gone, so that lowers the chances significantly.
