The Oklahoma Sooners made it through the gauntlet, and are now Big 12 Champions with their win over Oklahoma State. Sitting at No. 3 in the College Football Playoff poll, you would have to think that Oklahoma secured themselves a spot in the playoffs, for now.
This team was led by Baker Mayfield for the most part. Samaje Perine didn’t have the stellar season most would have expected after he started breaking out last season. The lone loss to Texas definitely blemishes Mayfield’s resume, but that loss in long in the woods, and Oklahoma completed one of the most difficult schedules in the nation down the home stretch.
A bid to New York City for the Heisman Trophy presentation?
