3. Georgia Bulldogs

Knight to the Bulldogs doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibility, but a lot may come down to the decision of five-star quarterback recruit Jacob Eason.

Eason is considered the top pro-style QB in this year’s recruiting class, and will soon announce if he will honor his prior verbal commitment to UGA. Though he should stick with the Bulldogs, nothing’s for certain with the way Jim McElwain and his Florida Gators recruiting staff have worked over the past year.

Either way Eason decides to go, Georgia would love to have a veteran like Knight. But would Knight want to go to UGA with the possibility of playing second-fiddle to the golden child freshman-to-be? He could always be the one-season bridge for Eason to give the young QB ample time to learn the offense, but it’s not like Knight will know any better.

Virginia transfer Greyson Lambert has started much of this season for the Georgia, but he hasn’t been particularly excellent at any point of the season. The NCAA record 96 percent completion rate he had against lowly South Carolina may be his only real highlight of 2015. Georgia’s highly regarded quarterback recruit of 2013, Brice Ramsey, is being used primarily at punter, creating an even greater possibility of Knight starting if he were to transfer there.

Whether Eason commits or not, there’s a lot of mutual value for Georgia and Knight. And with him under center, playing for an SEC title would be a very achievable goal for the Bulldogs.
