Iowa State: DT Dale Pierson

The senior defense end was one of the lone bright spots for the 3-9 Cyclones. Pierson led the team with 8.5 sacks. He was also second on the team in tackles for loss with 12.5. Pierson finished his senior campaign with 45 tackles.

His 8.5 sacks were good enough for second overall in the Big 12. Pierson received Second-Team All-Big 12 honors. He should get a shot at the NFL, but don’t expect him to get drafted and if he does he’ll be a late round choice at best.

Honorable Mention: RB Mike Warren, WR Allen Lazard
