This is obviously not your 1983 Sugar Bowl, and both Georgia and Penn State are hoping for something to send them out of this season on a positive note.
For Georgia, the question is who will be left to coach? Mark Richt and both coordinators are gone, so defensive coach and recruiting coordinator Bryan McClendon will be the interim head coach. Position coaches will step up to help out, but this will probably be a very basic set of plays for the Bulldogs.
Penn State is trying to snap a 3-game losing streak (all to tough opponents) and to see if they can get through 60 minutes more of football without getting quarterback Christian Hackenberg killed. The return of defensive star Carl Nassib, who led the nation in sacks before his injury, will be something to watch against Georgia’s suspect offensive line.
Line: Georgia, -6.5
It’s actually amazing UGA is favored int his game. Don’t let PSU’s five losses fool you. They played a much tougher schedule. Take the Nittany Lions to cover that spread.
