The Utah Utes had a chance at the College Football Playoff early this season, once ascending to No. 3 in the nation at one point. A large factor in that was their devastating running attack, led by Booker. He was the absolute workhorse for the offense, the catalyst to their success.

Travis Wilson was erratic at times, but when Booker had a full head of steam, Utah’s offense was as balanced as any offense in the nation. Utah found themselves in many close games this season, often pulling away in the fourth quarter. Coincidentally, that’s when Booker took over games. He’s a punishing back for the Utes, and would beat the defense down and keep the engine running in the fourth quarter, running away with the win.

The second-team all-Pac-12 running back still has another year of eligibility, but given his late season knee injury, it’s still unsure whether he will make the leap to the NFL. For the sake of the Pac-12, many do hope that is the case.
