Jared Goff has been seen as an NFL prodigy ever since he became the starter as a true freshman back in 2013. All season, his name was popular among NFL draft boards, with some even saying he has the potential to be the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL.
He threw for 4,252 yards, completing about 64 percent of his passes, and averaged a 152.36 passer rating for the season. Goff had a plethora of veteran receivers at his disposal with Kenny Lawler, Bryce Treggs and Trevor Davis and with them, he threw for 37 touchdowns to only 13 interceptions, five of which came on the road vs. Utah in a thrilling game. Coincidentally, that Utah game was the downward spiral to their season. Once starting out 5-0, they soon dropped to 5-4 and salvaged a 7-5 season.
In each of California’s wins, the offense produced 30 points or more, in each of their losses, they scored under 28. So at least, when Goff and his Golden Bears lost, it was always consistent.
