Navy not only won their bowl game but also gets to keep head coach Ken Niumatalolo around. Coach Niumatalolo has without question moved the program in the right direction in recent years.

It’ll be sad to lose quarterback Keenan Reynolds, who broke several records this year, including career rushing touchdowns, but that doesn’t mean Niumatalolo won’t be able to build on his success in the coming years. Navy’s only losses came to Notre Dame and Houston, both of which are double-digit winning teams.

In 2015, Navy was the least penalized team in the nation, had a top 40 defense, a top 50 offense, and had the third-best turnover margin in the country. This year was exciting to experience for Navy, and the program deserves to take the time to enjoy it.
