Big Ten: Ted Ginn Jr, WR, KR, PR—Ohio State

Though you could make the argument that Broncos tight end Vernon Davis played for a team currently in the Big Ten, he played for Maryland while they were a member of the ACC.

Besides, for as great of a career, as Davis has had, Ginn Jr. had a better college career, and will likely play a bigger role in Super Bowl 50.

The Ohio State product was one of the most heralded recruits in the country when he signed his letter of intent to play for the Buckeyes. He was the top-ranked cornerback prospect but was soon switched to wide receiver and had a huge impact in the return game.

After earning All-Big Ten honors, Ginn Jr. supposedly ran a blazing 4.22 40-yard dash before turning pro, and naturally was scheduled to go early in the NFL Draft. He did just that, going ninth overall to the Miami Dolphins. Things didn’t necessarily work out in Miami, San Francisco, or Arizona. But the veteran caught 10 touchdowns for Carolina this year and is sure to get his chances to shine on the game’s biggest stage.
