Miami Hurricanes

Key 2016 Losses: CB Artie Burns, S Deon Bush, DE Ufomba Kamalu, ILB Raphael Kirby, WR Rashawn Scott

In case you didn’t hear, Mark Richt has gone home to Miami, and Hurricane fans are giddy about it…not just in having Richt, but in not having to suffer through another year of Al Golden.

While Richt will bring a refreshing winning attitude to the Canes, and will undoubtedly unlock parts of quarterback Brad Kaaya‘s game that he didn’t even know he had, the Hurricanes are still a long way from contending.

The change of scenery for Richt will be good, and may invigorate him, but he simply doesn’t have enough talent on this roster to put together a championship team yet. As one of the top recruiters in the nation, it won’t be long before that talent is coming to Miami in droves, but for fans to expect a one-year turnaround just isn’t logical.
