Is John O’Korn Jim Harbaugh’s next success story?

Jim Harbaugh turned Iowa transfer Jake Rudock into an above-average quarterback in his first season back at Michigan. He’ll be asked to do it again with another former transfer with former Houston starter John O’Korn in line to win the Wolverines starting quarterback job.

O’Korn sat out last season due to NCAA transfer rules but started as a freshman with the Cougars and put up big numbers, throwing for 3,117 yards and 28 touchdowns to only 10 interceptions. He lost his job the next year to Greg Ward Jr. who led Houston to a 13-win season last year, but under Harbaugh, I think O’Korn can regain the promise he showed as a freshman.

The return of All-American tight end Jake Butt will give O’Korn a safety valve in the passing game as he grows comfortable in the offense as he shakes off the rust from only attempting one pass since October 2, 2014.  If O’Korn looks like he did as a freshman, Michigan could be the favorite to win the Big Ten.
