NFL Draft: 25 best first overall picks of all-time
By Gabe Encinas
In 1993, the New Patriots were first on the clock for the NFL Draft. You might be able to say that selecting Drew Bledsoe, a 6’5” 238-pound quarterback out of Washington State, was just the beginning of the Patriots winning ways.
While he’ll always be remembered as a Patriot, and the quarterback before Tom Brady, he went on to play for the Buffalo Bills and Dallas Cowboys before hanging them up in 2006, ending a 13-year career.
But during that 13-year span, he was able to capture two AFC Championships, pulling in a championship ring after taking Super Bowl XXXVI. He was also named to four Pro Bowls during his time and was later inducted into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame in 2011.
