14. Vanderbilt Commodores

Vanderbilt is used to being at the bottom of lists unless we’re ranking SEC football schools with the highest average ACT score. The Commodores job, currently held by Derek Mason, is without question the worst job in the SEC and one of the toughest places to win at in the entire country.

The stadium is smaller than several high school stadiums in the state of Texas and the fan support is next to nothing. It’s not a school that is defined by success on the gridiron and the amount of resources poured into the program to make it a legit program is evident of the administration’s apathy toward the program.

How James Franklin was able to win at Vandy remains one of the greatest mysteries in college football recent history.
