The New Orleans Saints were pegged to take Sheldon Rankins for the last few weeks, at least, and they got their guy at No. 12. The Louisville Cardinals have churned out a number of pros in recent years and Rankins has the chance to be as good as any of them, including Teddy Bridgewater.

It’s no secret the Saints needed to upgrade their terrible defense from last year and they get a player in Rankins who can disrupt in the run game and create havoc in the passing game. Rankins just goes about his business and there aren’t any off-the-field drama you’ll have to worry about him.
