4. Alabama at Tennessee

Oct. 15- Neyland Stadium

Want to prove that you belong in the national conversation, Tennessee? Then you need to beat the Alabama Crimson Tide. This pivotal SEC matchup will prove whether the Volunteers are for real or if they’re a pretender. Again.

Tennessee will look to take advantage of being at home to stun the Tide. The Volunteer offense should be clicking with Joshua Dobbs and Jalen Hurd really hitting their strides coming into this game. Tennessee’s defense kept this a close game in 2015 so they surely would like nothing more than to be able to hold the Tide in check once again.

Alabama will come into this game motivated to continue their winning ways, it is possible Alabama will have suffered an SEC loss by this point in the season and will need all the conference wins they can get. The Crimson Tide defense should be able to slow down Tennessee’s offense to make this a close game in case the Tide’s offense can’t get things going.

One would assume by this time in the season the starting quarterback whether it be Cooper Bateman or someone else will be settled into the position and the Alabama offensive line should be able to pave a way for Bo Scarbrough to run on the Volunteer defense.

Prediction: Both teams will be well motivated for this game, both for different reasons, which for a rivalry game is beautiful. There is no love lost between these two, especially with Lane Kiffin still at Alabama. Tennessee will try to prove itself; but it will not be enough for the Volunteers. The Alabama defense will make plays where Tennessee will not.

Score: 27-21 Alabama wins
