Southeastern Conference

Contenders for the Cellar: Missouri Tigers, South Carolina Gamecocks, Mississippi State Bulldogs

Pick For Last: Missouri Tigers

2015 Record: 5-7, 1-7 SEC
2016 Prediction: 3-9, 0-8 SEC

Being picked as the worst team in the SEC isn’t the most terrible thing in the world, but there are several teams in that conference who might actually be terrible this season.

Mississippi State and South Carolina will both struggle this season, but both have the some real talent and experienced coaches. Mississippi State will be without Dak Prescott as well as several other important players on the defensive side of the ball.

But in Missouri things are just miserable right now. Long time coach Gary Pinkel retired, the campus was the center of a lot of negative attention last year, and they still don’t look like they can put up double-digits in many games this season.

Long story short, Mizzou fans should be prepared to weather a pretty long storm until they get back to being contenders in the SEC East.
