Mid-American Conference

Contenders for the Cellar: UMass Minutemen, Eastern Michigan Eagles, Kent State Golden Flashes

Pick For Last: Kent State Golden Flashes

2015 Record: 3-9, 2-6 MAC
2016 Prediction: 2-10, 1-7 MAC

Last season there were a handful of MAC teams who finished 2-6 in conference play, while Eastern Michigan put up a big goose egg in the win column. All of those teams took steps to really get better, especially the Eagles, but Kent State actually looks to be worse off.

When you add games against Alabama and Penn State to the Golden Flashes’ schedule, it really puts a damper on the season.

Ken State shouldn’t pencil in wins against either NC A&T or Monmouth just yet, and they don’t get to play Ball State, Eastern Michigan or UMass this year. Paul Haynes is yet another coach coming into his fourth season who probably won’t see a fifth.
