15. Oluwole Betiku – USC Trojans

  • Gardena, CA
  • 247Sports Composite Ranking: No. 16
  • Position Ranking: No. 1

The top weak-side defensive end in the 2016 class, Betiku was a five-star prospect coming out of high school. Now, having just completed his first spring ball with USC, Betiku looks to crack the starting lineup for the 2016 season.

Currently, he sits No. 2 at the outside linebacker position behind junior Unchenna Nwosu. It will be hard to measure up to the play of Nwosu, who had a tremendous 2015 campaign, notching 32 total tackles in 2015, but given the nature of the position, there is a good chance that he will receive playing time either due to injury or if Nwosu needs a rest after a particular series.

What kind of impact will he have on defense? He is a dominant pass rusher who can spin by his man with ease. He has the ability to push the line which can close the pocket on the quarterback and make him uncomfortable. Betiku has the playmaking ability to be one of the best outside linebackers in the country.
