Georgia’s placement here all depends on returnees and production. The Bulldogs know what they have in senior Greyson Lambert. He played smart efficient football last season throwing for 1,959 yards, 12 touchdowns, and just two interceptions while completing 63 percent of his passes. he struggled against the SEC’s best.
Lambert’s biggest knock is he struggled against the SEC’s best. In two his two losses to Tennessee and Alabama, he completed just 25-of-56 passes for 365 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.

In the 10 he won, he beat SEC squads with a combined record of 21-28. He also trounced through the team’s nonconference schedule that included Louisiana-Monroe (2-11), Georgia Tech (3-9), and FCS’s Southern. His key victories season were against (9-4) Georgia Southern and (7-6) Penn State.
Basically, Lambert can win the games he’s supposed, but he won’t be spectacular and that’s why he’s in a quarterback battle with five-star recruit Jacob Eason. Last year’s No. 1 quarterback enrolled early and had nice performance in the spring game when he completed 19-of-29 passes for 244 yards and a touchdown. He’s raved about as the most talented quarterback on the roster.
In this competition, the victor gets all the cool offensive weapons. Running backs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel are one of the best tandems in the NCAA, when healthy. They enter the season with a combined 3,840 career yards and 34 rushing touchdowns. The offense returns eight starters in total and should give the starter a high chance of success.
